4-Tell Inc, provider of the most effective product and content recommendations solutions for midsized ecommerce companies, has closed $248,000 in its angel funding round. Investment was led by the Gorge Angel Investors Network (GAIN3), sponsored by Hood River County and the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network. Additional private investors include Doug Fieldhouse, CEO of Vesta, Matt Hall, VP of Vesta, Bruce Davis, CEO of Digimarc, and Steve Sliwa, CEO of Insitu.
The proceeds will help accelerate 4-Tell’s advancements in a number of areas, primarily focusing on expanding sales and marketing efforts to meet the growing demand of ecommerce companies for 4-Tell’s web 2.0 technology.
“4-Tell is among the companies leading and defining the rapidly emerging personalization category, and is specifically focused on the midsized market. This round will enable us to fully capitalize on this market opportunity, reaching our target customers as they ready for the all-important holiday season,” said Ken Levy, CEO of 4-Tell.
The investment has already allowed the company to expand, adding Scott Parsons as Sr. Director of Sales and Business Development. Scott brings deep experience in ecommerce and is thrilled to join 4-Tell’s management team. “Ecom is still experiencing significant growth, and 4-Tell has the strategic vision and seasoned team to be a significant long-term leader for personalization and business intelligence solutions.”
