Netflix – the defender of the weekend realm – was once in a time of deep distress. They cried, “Please. From far and wide, we need help making our movie recommendations better. And anyone with the ability to improve our movie recommendations algorithm will shower in $1,000,000 worth of gold and silver.” The mad scientists heard the call. They readied their beakers, solutions, and Apple Macbook to take on the competition. 41,000 teams marched in defense of Netflix that day. Our founders’ – Team 4-Tell – made it to the top 1.5%. Their algorithm was proven more effective than the algorithm Netflix was using at that time – the ratio was 1.13 to 1. Their sorcery was strong that day. 4-Tell had humble beginnings from which our tribe has grown into a village. Our marketers run around the courtyard talking to as many people as they can – silly kids. The customer success team works with merchants at the bazaar, always helping them with their craft. Our sales team sits atop the monastery – preaching the good word. Finally, visit our masonry to see the permutations of the original magic we created eons ago. The founders and engineers build things out of iron, steel, ones, and zeroes. This is our village. It’s a peaceful and prosperous land.
